A complete list of confirmed artists follows. More acts will be announced in the coming months.
For Electric Forest’s inaugural year, the musical line-up – and in many ways, the festival itself – is an evolution of the headliner’s most spirited and theatrical past live events. With a diverse and inspired program of influential bands and artists, both established and new, in every genre, it’s evident that a similar creative force is propelling Electric Forest forward as has pulled along The String Cheese Incident for so many years. It’s the force of imagination and rectitude. As The String Cheese Incident’s Keith Moseley explains, “For SCI, we’ve always tried to honor our many musical influences, both individually and as a collective, and then do it in the most celebratory way. This festival definitely feels like the ultimate manifestation of all that energy, and the location, well, you just can’t beat it.”
Indeed, Electric Forest is graced with one of the country’s most beloved festival sites. Hosted at the one-of-a-kind Double JJ Resort in Rothbury, Michigan, the unique site offers trails, forests, fields, lakes and beach fronts, and even on-site lodging, bars and eateries. In addition, Electric Forest patrons can take advantage of the resort’s many amenities including a 60,000 square foot indoor water park, an 18-hole championship golf course, swimming pools, horseback riding, and more.
The festival’s unrivaled GOOD LIFE VIP experience promises something for all budgets and tastes, from camping and RV spots, to log cabins and homes, to resort hotel-style suites – all located on the festival grounds. Brought to life by Madison House Presents and Insomniac Events, Electric Forest promises to emerge as a new breed of U.S. music and camping festival. In addition to almost 60 musical performances, look for state-of-the-art, jaw-dropping light displays, intricate and earthy artful touches, and everything in between. As festival producer Jeremy Stein of Madison House Presents explains, “Our goal is to seamlessly integrate music with art, and we are proud to host a conscious and involved festival community at such an amazing festival site. The site’s Sherwood Forest will be bigger and better than ever.” Electric Forest will make sustainable practices a priority, as with all MHP events.

Overall, the Broomfield Furthur run was outstanding, powerfully humbling, and beautiful. There is not one bad seat at Broomfield – such a wonderfully easy and quaint venue to dance and shake your bones.
The first night first set lights in Roses were amazing and Black Throated Wind commanded my excitement. The full Weather Report Suite absolutely exploded with energy flowing seamlessly into Mountain Song. It should be noted that Russo is the heart of gold band! China Doll sent affectionate vibes throughout the arena and a super kind Liberty was an unusual, but good closer which left me reeling with what could come up in the next two shows.
Second night first set was super mellow with lots of smiles for Crazy Fingers, but it was Dark Hollow that let surprise in from the Cold Rain and Snow. John teased Bobby as they all jammed in Seven Hills.
Second set was tasty mixing the perfect blend of love and light with straight up heel diggin’ feel good blues like Viola>Birdsong>The Other One. The Terrapin came out smooth and relentless only to slip right into Death, which is a personal favorite of mine. While taking the only break from my spot on the floor, I called Attics for closer, and it was nice.
Sunday’s show to me was the best of the run. Chimenti was on fire with his signature jam in Sugaree. CC Rider was amazing and the flow of the first set was exhilarating – bringing out Bertha was icing on the cake.
For the second set, Phil just shined in Colors of the Rain. The connection on stage made me realize again how much I love Furthur and confirmed my necessity to be gratefully humbled. Scarlet>Fire>Estimated>Eyes was unbelievable! And what an appropriate time and way to close with Revolution>Satisfaction.
Some people talk about how Bobby or Phil slip up and it is my opinion that is to be expected and I love them for all of their imperfections as well as their ability to blow my mind, bring a constant smile and even a tear or two from time to time.
Seemed like the lot was getting a “lot” of arrests, but what can you expect when a Broomfield police van is parked on a corner with a video camera extended from the top of the vehicle about 15 feet pointed at Shakedown. Some rise, some fall.
Thanking you Furthur for a renewal of my soul and warmth in my heart – Not Fade Away!! (~):}

I would love to see/hear the rest of this show. Bill Murray singing background on OMSN in Japan?!? That needs to be seen, or it might be lost in translation!

UPDATE: One More Saturday Night w Bill Murray has been found!
Then, they played another show, appropriately on Valentines Day 1995. This was a heart-breakingly sweet double set, and one I especially appreciated hearing… I was beginning the process of divorce, and the show came at a perfect time for me. I had this one on cassette and listened religiously for years! It included the (at that time) rare “Cream Puff War”, as well as “It’s a Man’s World” and “Ain’t That Peculiar” in the first set… The kicker for me was the 2nd set closer, “It’s All Too Much” – Vince always did a great job on The Beatles, and this one found it’s way into the Grateful Dead’s Spring 1995 songbook, as did the Al Greene hit “Take To The River”. Well both songs meant a lot to me, especially with my marriage dissolving – and the personal profundity of IATM gave me chills. A year earlier, during a molecularly enhanced Valentine outing with my not yet-ex, she sang that song on the beach to me, and we made a “psychic” request that the Dead, or Jerry band, put it into their repertoire… and then they did. Ain’t THAT peculiar? Thank you Vince! And Bobby, Bobby, Prairie, Henry, and all the other, Valentines!
