“Bobby & Mickey were on stage alone for Lazy River Road – very different!!” (Bob Scalcione)
Lazy River Road – Bob Weir & Mickey Hart of the Grateful Dead, performing this song – just the two of them on stage, as part of Dead & Company: Dead Forever, Sphere, Las Vegas Thursday 8.1.2024 – Jerry Garcia’s 82nd birthday. As the two OG GD in D&C, this was a fitting tribute to their beloved band mate Jerry Garcia, and reports from those in attendance were that it was a very moving take on the song, and not a dry eye in the house.
For setlist statistical purposes, this was the first performance of the song as Dead & Company, though it was just the two of them on stage, Bob Weir on vocals and guitar, and Mickey Hart on percussion.
Here is the rest of the setlist, from the hands-down king of setlists, good ol’ grateful Bob Scalcione!
