He’s Gone. Second of three songs sung and played by John Mayer along with Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead, Ross James of Cosmic Twang, and Alex Koford of Colonel and the Mermaids. Terrapin all stars Phil, Ross, and Alex are also part of the band Communion. John Mayer did something else before this, people seem to know who he is. 😉
John Mayer sang and played the Grateful Dead’s “Sugaree” with Phil Lesh, and Communion’s Ross James and Alex Koford
John had just finished playing with Phil Lesh and Friends doing a recreation of the Grateful Dead 6.9.1977 at Winterland, in the Grate Room at Terrapin Crossroads.
A few minutes later, they did a surprise pop up set of three songs in the restaurant bar!
Goes to show, you don’t ever know! Surprises at TXR are around some corner just waiting to meet you!
