CONTINUE FURTHUR: Colorado 2011 dates end the rumors

Furthur - Red Rocks 2010 Many many rumors have been flying around, from the rumor that New Years Eve was Furthur’s last shows, to rumors of Winter Tour 2011 be exactly the same as 2010.  Ok, well the last one really just has to do with Furthur not updating the info tab of their Facebook page since last January (hey guys, I’m for hire…!)  As for the rumor of NYE being their finale, THAT’S JUST A BULLSHIT LIE! *(that is what Phil told us at a Cal Expo many years ago, where the rumors were thick that he was leaving the band after the Sunday show).

They just announced their first (of what I hope will be many) 2011 dates, three nights in Broomfield Colorado, right smack dab in the middle of Winter!

BILLY KREUTZMAN IN TELLURIDE!!! with PAPA MALI!!!

Hey now, brothers and sisters! The Mayor of Deadheadland has asked me to share some low-radar Rhythm Devil kind, that led up to Red Rocks.

Bill Kreutzmann, the new drummer for swamp rock king Papa Mali, played the Telluride Cajun Festival on Friday…

with opening act Promise of the Real–led by Lukas Nelson, son of Willie.

Now…word on the street leading up to the show was that Papa was about to unveil a brand new Robert Hunter joint…
as l was unfamiliar with the rest of the originals in his set, l didn’t catch it.
The action was loud and long…with plenty of Dead material thrown in.
Rider, GDTRFB, Bertha, and an absolutely off the chain Lovelight were all hot and funky and sweaty.

By the way…this all happened in the middle of the street. Just another “Only in Telluride” kind of day!
