Move Me Brightly: Celebrating Jerry Garcia's 70th Birthday – Bob Weir & friends stream from TRI Studios August 3rd

‘Move Me Brightly:  Celebrating Jerry Garcia’s 70th Birthday’

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (July 10, 2012) — On the evening of August 3rd, a very special event will go down at Bob Weir’s TRI Studios (http://www.tristudios.com/).  Musicians, friends and admirers of Jerry Garcia will assemble via the world wide web to pay tribute to The Man.

In addition to live performances by a one-time only group of musical performers, led by Garcia’s longtime bandmate and co-conspirator, Bob Weir, and featuring a diverse cast of characters including Mike Gordon, Benmont Tench and Cass McCombs, the event will include exclusive interviews with Garcia’s peers, including Carlos Santana.  David Crosby’s moving tribute, “’Cause I’m Missing Him Tonight,” penned specifically for the occasion, will be read during the show.  Luke Wilson (The Royal Tennenbaums, Old School, Anchorman) will take a moment away from his day job to emcee the event.

And you can watch it all happen for free…via high definition webcast.

“The Garcia family is proud to join with TRI for this special event honoring Jerry’s 70th birthday,” says Trixie Garcia. “Please join us in this celebration of Jerry’s enduring brilliance.”
