REMEMBER – “BREAKFAST IN BED WITH THE GRATEFUL DEAD”?
New documentary feature on the innovative and influential ’82 US Festival with
never-before-seen footage; Mickey Hart interview; campaign live on Kickstarter
LOS ANGELES, CA (November 18, 2016) – The Grateful Dead took the stage in the early morning, Sunday, Labor Day weekend in 1982. It was billed as “Breakfast in Bed with the Grateful Dead”. There were over 100,000 already in attendance. The band ended the show with “Satisfaction”. This was The US Festival.
Of special importance to me and Deadheadland, as the US Festival was my introduction to the Grateful Dead live – that 9am call by ny future friend Phil Lesh, to “roll over and spread, it’s breakfast in bed with the Grateful Dead”, was my first Dead show – I came to see the Ramones, Police and Talking Heads! Clearly the US Festival changed my life, and this movie is one I have waited for ever since! Please support the Kickstarter, and stay tuned to DHL for further updates as well! – Happycat | DHL | (~);}Read More
