Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead was all over the news  last week with his public declaration that he is receiving treatment for bladder cancer.

After canceling a few shows, and receiving medical treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona, Lesh returned home earlier this week.  Last night, Thursday October 22, he was ready to play a surprise appearance at the Terrapin Crossroads bar. The Terrapin Family Band (Phil’s son Grahame Lesh, along with ROss James, Alex Koford, Brian Rashap, and Scott Guberman) were joined by Phil Lesh for their second set  and rocked the house. He was playful, energetic, and glowing.  The Terrapin Nation audience was excited and cheered loudly as Phil took the stage. His playing was solid, deep and loud. He’s more than ready for the Capital Theatre in Port Chester New York next week!

Love you Phil – so glad you’re doing great!  We love you!  (~);}
