With that song downloaded and playing in my brain now, I kept driving – and at 3:33 made my right turn up the canyon. After several twisty miles, I got a spot a mile from the show… nothin’ left to do but mile, mile, mile. I walk down the canyon, then up a big hill, and I could hear that Anne McNamee singing “On the Road Again”… I had made it to Moonalice, in the nick of time. I would of tweeted that if I wasn’t winded!
I have not been out and social much recently, and Topanga is an intersect of most of my universes, so I was overwhelmed by all the familiar faces I saw. It is good to get hugs all day; I needed that! But as Moonalice was on the stage already, I remembered my secret mission.
It seems that MoonaliceTV did not have the bandwidth to broadcast the show, breaking their streak of 11 shows in a row on the web live…
I wanted to help! I had a fully charged MiFi, my netbook and a Sprint signal, I was ready to go… I managed to stream LIVE about 25 minutes on the internet before my laptop overheated in the sun… not the best quality, but I did have 12 viewers at one point on DeadheadlandLive!
Not sure if this will count, but i think they can say 11 1/3 of the last 12 shows were live on the web! Here is part of my webcast, Moonalice doing “Down the Road A Piece” and “How Many Times”:
